You will have access to training that allows you to develop skills and increase your knowledge of GIS and the Esri platform. At the same time, guided by a mentor, you will learn “on the fly”, working on ongoing company projects and really contributing to our overall success.
For our spring program, we will be hiring interns for the following positions:
- Software development
The development of complex Geographical Information Systems in our team is based on the latest global Esri GIS APIs/SDKs in combination with globally established technologies, development environments, protocols and databases.
You will be involved in the development of web, desktop and/or mobile GIS applications that are used by our clients in a variety of fields – from spatial planning and environment, to healthcare, infrastructure, security and transport.
To do this, you must have basic software development skills and analytical thinking with a focus on finding solutions. You should be familiar with the basics of Geographic Information Systems and be willing to learn in depth the principles of software development and the tools that the Esri platform provides.
- GIS and databases
As part of our team, you will use the rich tools of ArcGIS software to create, process and analyze geographic databases. You will process and transform data, including between different structures and projections. You will work with images, 2D, 3D and temporal data. Applying the capabilities of ModelBuilder and Python in an ArcGIS environment, you will produce models for automated processing.
The role also includes working with the analytical functions in ArcGIS to produce spatial, network and statistical analyses. You will map the resulting products for use in a variety of environments – web, desktop or mobile.
To do this, you must have basic database skills and analytical thinking with a focus on details. You should be familiar with the basics of Geographic Information Systems and be willing to learn in depth the capabilities of the Esri platform for working with geographic databases and analyses.
- Marketing
As part of our marketing team, you will use the means of digital marketing, social networks and your effective communication skills to provoke and motivate our target audience to engage more deeply with the Esri brand and the values we stand for.
You will create content for the various marketing channels, presenting our products and services in an exciting and useful way for the audience. You will work on a variety of marketing campaigns and create effective landing pages and web content. Using the vast wealth of Esri resources, you will adapt global product and sector marketing campaigns to the needs of the Bulgarian market.
For this purpose, you must have basic knowledge and skills in the field of digital marketing and social networks. You should be able to create quality, visually arresting and engaging content. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems would be an advantage, but even if you don’t have it, it’s enough to show a willingness to learn in depth about the various Esri products and solutions and their rich application possibilities.
Program parameters:
The internship has a duration of 3 months, with a weekly commitment of 24 working hours in remote or hybrid form. As an intern at Esri Bulgaria, you will receive a monthly salary, as well as:

Period of implementation: 01.03.2024 – 31.05.2024
