That is why we want to give young people in our country a chance to work with new GIS technologies in a professional business environment.
The team atmosphere is important to us. The work environment in the company is informal and friendly, but we expect you to give your best and show that your work matters. You will work with a wide range of the latest technologies and we actively encourage you to apply them to your daily tasks.
You will have access to training that allows you to develop skills and increase your knowledge of GIS and the Esri platform. At the same time, guided by a mentor, you will learn “on the fly” by working on current company projects and really contribute to our overall success.
For our spring program we will hire interns for the following positions:
- Software Development
The development of complex Geographical Information Systems in our team is based on the latest global Esri GIS APIs/SDKs in combination with globally established technologies, development environments, protocols, and databases.
You will be involved in the development of web, desktop, and/or mobile GIS applications that are used by our clients in a variety of fields – from spatial planning and environment to healthcare, infrastructure, security, and transport.
For this purpose, you must have basic skills in the field of software development, analytical thinking with a focus on finding solutions, be familiar with the basics of Geographic Information Systems, and be willing to learn in depth the principles of software development and the tools that the Esri platform provides.
- GIS and Databases
As part of our team, you will use the rich tools of ArcGIS software to create, process, and analyze geographic databases. You will process and transform data, including between different structures and projections, and work with images, 2D, 3D, and temporal data. Applying the capabilities of ModelBuilder and Python in an ArcGIS environment, you will prepare models for automated processing.
The role also includes working with the analytical functions in ArcGIS to perform spatial, network, and statistical analysis and to produce appropriate cartographic layouts of the resulting products for use in various environments – web, desktop, or mobile devices.
For this purpose, you must have basic skills in working with databases, analytical thinking with a focus on details, be familiar with the basics of Geographic Information Systems and be willing to learn in depth the capabilities of the Esri platform for working with geographic databases and analysis.
- Marketing
As part of our marketing team, you will use digital marketing tools, social networks, and your effective communication skills to provoke and motivate our target audience to engage more deeply with the Esri brand and the values we stand for.
Through various marketing channels, you will create and tell stories that present complex topics in a way that is exciting and useful to our audience. You will also carry out marketing research, and analysis, and using the vast wealth of resources from Esri you will adapt global product and sector marketing campaigns to the needs of the Bulgarian market.
For this purpose, you must know the basic marketing concepts, be able to communicate clearly and accurately, be familiar with the basics of Geographic Information Systems and be willing to learn in-depth both the principles of marketing and the various Esri products, solutions, and the vast possibilities for their implementation in Bulgaria.
Program format:
The internship has a duration of 3 months, with a weekly commitment of 24 working hours in on-site, remote or hybrid form. As an intern at Esri Bulgaria, you will receive a monthly salary, as well as:
