The biggest volunteer initiative in the country chooses ESRI Bulgaria again for its technological partner.
Sofia, 27 July 2017г. – Under the slogan “Play it clean! Bulgaria is one team ” for the seventh consecutive year starts “Let’s Clear Bulgaria Together“- the largest and most successful green initiative in the country, whose technology partner is ESRI Bulgaria.
The official start of the campaign was given during the National Meeting of the Partners, where bTV representatives, the official organizer of the campaign, and all partners gathered to present what is coming up in the new edition of the initiative and what goals it sets.
In 2017 the campaign will have a competition element and the day of the big cleaning, September 16, marks not the end but the beginning of “Let’s clear Bulgaria together”. Elena Yaramova and Valeri Genov from bTV presented the rules of the tournament according to which every family, kindergarten, school, company or even an entire administrative region could participate as a team. The important thing is to score more green spots on the campaign`s map.
The new interactive web map will be developed by ESRI Bulgaria. The participants will be able to mark the places cleaned by them and the good practices for waste reduction they apply. ESRI Bulgaria will also develop a specialized back-office GIS system, with which the organizers will process and analyze the submitted information, connect with the participants, etc.
“Every year, the campaign is becoming bigger and this time we are setting even higher goals, which we believe, with the common efforts, will be achieved. At the end of the initiative we hope to see a very green web map with many cleaned places and good waste reduction practices”, said Evgenia Karadzhova and Miglena Kuzmanova from ESRI Bulgaria during the National Meeting of the Partners.
Official guest of the event were the Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Nikolay Kanchev, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Denitsa Sacheva, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Atanas Dobrev, Nikolay Koprinov and Galabin Donev from the administration of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, representatives of regional departments and many more.
