The “Learn ArcGIS” program aims to support students’ distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
08 April 2020 - Esri, the global leader in location intelligence, announced that it expands its educational program through which students all over the world, including in Bulgaria, have the opportunity to access online courses in Geographic Information Systems for free. As part of the program, Esri provides students with free access to the world’s leading GIS software products from the ArcGIS platform.
As part of the Learn ArcGIS program, students gain access to dozens of leading GIS software products, including the cloud-based GIS software ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro - a desktop GIS product for spatial data acquisition, visualization, and analysis, as well as over 20 professional applications such as Survey123, Insights for ArcGIS, StoryMaps and more. The program also offers a rich database of lessons and exercises by type of software or topic. From anywhere, anytime, and any device, students can access various online Esri books. All of these resources are available on Learn.ArcGIS.com from anywhere in the world for students over 18 and their teachers. The library with the lessons cover topics that are relevant for both beginners and advanced students.
Learn ArcGIS promotes learning by doing through guided lessons based on real-world problems in industries such as urban planning and disaster response, and new lessons on public health which address practical cases, such as helping cope with the COVID-19 pandemic through the application of ArcGIS technologies by the leading example of organizations such as Johns Hopkins, the World Health Organization, and many more.

Bulgarian students can enroll in the program until June 30 by registering on the website https://learn.arcgis.com/en/become-a-member/ . They will have access to the products and services on the website until August 31, 2020.
The Esri GIS platform ArcGIS is a global standard in the field of Geographic Information Systems, used by a number of leading organizations, including NATO, the European Environment Agency, European Commission structures and more. Hundreds of thousands of students use ArcGIS each year, supported by teachers and researchers at leading universities around the world, including Harvard University, and as well as in Bulgaria.
