How practical are GIS technologies and how necessary are they?

The most important skills you learned during your internship are…
• The ability to switch from one project in one application to another project in another application in a short time;
• The ability to manage my time while studying and at the same time having practical tasks to complete.

How do you feel as an intern in the Esri Bulgaria team?
As part of the team.

How did he change from the person before the internship?
I admit that the internship helped me to be more organized in handling information from a new field for me. I am keen to continue developing in this area. My interest is provoked by the opportunity to learn something new every day. And to see the result of the practical application of the learned.

What do you dream of?
My dream is for my husband and I to grow old together. That our children are healthy and that we are able to raise them to be good, empathetic and awake people. To be happy and live in harmony with the choices they make. And when they grow up, let’s travel together by water. To have the freedom to choose where and how to live, where and what to work. And to wake up with a smile.

To whom would you recommend a career in GIS?
To anyone who is inquisitive and purposeful; who likes to learn by doing; who wants to develop and is attracted to working with data from different fields.

Do you believe that GIS technologies are changing the world?
Yes, I believe. Through GIS, we have the opportunity to see the world from a new perspective – clearer, more organized, more accessible. In a different, interactive way. GIS improve work and save time and money. I believe it would be beneficial for any organization to become familiar with GIS.
