Esri – with a thank you award for supporting child cartographers

On March 27, the winners of the 13th National Children’s World Map Competition “Map of my Future World” were awarded.

At an official ceremony in the exhibition hall of the University of Architecture, Construction, and Geodesy, the 18 children who performed best in the competition organized by the Bulgarian Cartographic Association were awarded. For its long-term support of the competition, the Esri Bulgaria team received a special surprise – a beautiful children’s drawing map as a thank-you award. Our educational expert and cartographer Denitsa Savova-Georgieva received it. Denitsa also presented the awards to the children ranked first:

Denitsa Savova-Georgieva shared that what she saw in the exhibition hall moved her greatly and that she “believes that with the power of cartography, today’s children will be able to overcome the challenges of the modern world and make it a better place!”

The drawings that won the 6 first places will also be presented at the international exhibition during the 31st International Cartographic Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, August 13-18, 2023.
